This has been an expensive problem for me. Ever since I bought this it has draining issues and dripping water. I have had numerous repair men look at it and then one problem becomes another. Please do not invest money in this washer.

My machine worked fine for the first month and then we started getting error codes (mostly F22 and F30) EVERY TIME we start the machine. We are angry, frustrated and at our wits end. We are very put off Whirlpool appliances and will probably buy another brand. Save your money and buy anything else ...

I bought this product for sole-occupant condo. One user, less than 3 years old, and it's not completing cycles, with a repairman suggesting it might need a new latch and a new computer board, totaling basically the cost of the washer itself. One user, about 32 months of use, this is a very poor product.

Worst washer ever!

Washer was delivered to us in this condition but we did not know. First the latch problem then clothes are not being properly washed and water is in clothes after wash is complete. The customer service people are a joke as well. When I contacted customer service they told me that the machine was out of warranty and that i should start looking for a new one, when the one we have was new less than 2 years old

that's funny as i thought i was the only one with the spin cycle issue, it's a dumb machine. At times the fast cycle works- draining out the water and at times the fast cycle doesn't work leaving all the clothes wet. i've looked at ways that could fix it potentially control board which would cost over $400 to replace. i would not recommend it

Bought this less than two years ago. It was great, then it would not go into the high speed spin cycle. Played around with it (unplug, reset, looked up error codes - with it saying nothing but call repair) and it worked for a bit longer. Then the same thing happened - did the same thing and it worked for a bit longer - now it will not go into fast spin at all

I've actually made the mistake of buying this washing machine twice. I'm a single guy who does maybe 12-15 loads a month. The first one lasted just over four years when it started having issues. Just past the extended warranty I bought with it, the repair technician told me it would cost over $700 to fix it. I decided to get a new washer, but because of the space I have to work with, my options were limited. I ended u buying another one, and it has been just about a year and I have been having the same problems. I've had to have a repair guy come out four times already, with a fifth scheduled for the coming week.

Getting A10 Error after 4 years of use.
Hiten410
4/25/2019
believe my issue is consistent with most other reviews here. I was expecting a machine with a nominal (family of 2) use to last longer before giving problems. i moved into my condo little over 4 years ago and this machine came brand new with the condo. now i see the A10 error wherein the machine stops operating mid-cycle.
basing off the multiple reviews, if this is something chronic with this model, Whirlpool should do something about this holistically and recommend some patch for all users.

Do Not Buy This Washer
Ben21044

Purchased a few years ago, used very lightly, as there was just 1 single person living in the apartment. Started getting an F06 error and its now a $900 repair job to fix the machine and replace the Drive Motor. This washing machine is a borderline SCAM, DO NOT BUY, Whirlpool should do something to actually fix the problem vs telling customers to visit them on Facebook or twitter (??? seriously). Whirlpool: ***Business Update*** Every one of these machines that you sell and then proceed to not fix/compensate/make right, you are losing a customer for life. Think about the NPV of that

We bought a Whirlpool washer Model NumberWFC7500VW on 10-27- 2015. We did not use it much, because we are living only part-time in Florida. In January 2019 it stoped spinning fast enough to dry the clothes. So everything is too wet to put in the dryer. It does not give any error codes and a repairman in could not find failures, because there are no error codes.
A washer should last longer than 3 years!!!
If the control board is defect, than the repair price will be higher than a new one!!

Such a Hassle

I have two of these washers - one for myself and one for a tenant. They have been nothing but a huge hassle. They have a glitch where they break and then do not properly spin and the clothes are left soaking wet. We don't overload them with clothes, and have had to arrange (and pay) for expensive repairs even though they are still quite new. I wish I had bought a different product. You don't expect so many issues for new machines that were expensive to purchase, but now I have to save up to buy different machines. I'm very disappointed.

Pretty much like most of the other reviews here. This unit was provided to us in our new condo back in late 2012. We had leaving issue early on and now we have the F06 issue which is most likely a $500+ repair bill!!!! My neighbours also have had the same issue over the years.
A big headache and I've never seen such poor performance in a whirpool product having lived in over 20 condos. Stick with other brands like Samsung or mayteg . Have had both for 10 years in other units with no issues

Madelaine77

This washer has been doing just fine. Until now. I have troubleshooted the A10 error code, removed the filter, cleaned it - I've tried this 3X - I guess the next option is to (1) hire repair person $$$$$ kaching; or, (2) try taking the entire stacking system out of the laundry room and check the hoses. We are in a fairly new condo so this is very disappointing, hassle, and now looks like expensive.

Disappointed Waist of Money

We bought a set for the washer and dryer in June 2017. My parents had a whirlpool washer and dryer and never had any problems for over 13 years. Bad design the washer seems to be having the same issues as everyone else is reporting. It finishes the wash cycle and the clothes are still wet. It does not go into a full spin while rinsing. Ran diagnostics and it came back with no error codes. Everything seems to work with flying colors during diagnostics but during the wash cycle, it cant spin to dry the clothes. Spent the last few weeks looking into this issue but there is no clear solution and can't get any help from Whirlepool because of its outside of the one-year limited warranty. :/ Wish someone would be able to help me.

I'm having the same problem as most with this washer, it doesn't complete the spin cycle, and doesn't show an error code either. I had a tech come out and was told that the parts will be $500 or more to replace. Called customer service and was told there's nothing wrong with the washer, that there wasn't anything they could do to help me, and that anyone can write bad reviews on the internet.

I'll be brief. Absolute worst design, functioning and reliability! Start button broke. Can only be replaced with entire panel. $200 (plus service call fee). Drilled hole. Use golf tee.
Drain plug is at floor. Can't fit anything under it. Designed by intellectually damaged person.
Control board failed. Won't spin/drain. Replace board: $400
Door mechanism unreliable. It's what starts the cycle.

Frustrated tenants,annoyed & embarrassed landlord!
Shakib
12/26/2018
I am the owner of a few apartments and have had Whirlpool appliances in most of them with no issues. But this model of laundry machine specifically is something else! It has been a major source of frustration for my tenants, and headache for me to fix it, not to mention accumulating costs overtime. Tenants have to keep fighting the error codes they receive when operating the machine and trying to fix them, but more often than not end up taking their clothes outside or to their parents to wash them. It is flat out embarrassing!!!
The machine has kept breaking multiple times in the last few years and it is broke even now. I noticed if I pay the repairman to fix this last issue (change control board), it will have cost me well over the cost of a brand new machine. The repairmen were telling me these machines are faulty and unreliable, but sadly I didn't take them seriously soon enough.
Whirlpool should do something about this machine. It's a stain on their reputation.

I have had this washing machine for several years. I usually use the fast cycle (30 min) and it does a great job. same with the delicate cycle. I am now moving and don't have space for the drier. Does this model stand a similar size drier stacked on top of it? I would be grateful for your answer.

NOT a good washing machine!
sfrench
12/15/2018
I've owned this machine for just 4 years and it's been problematic for a long time. Now it's not even worth fixing because of the cost of addressing the multiple problems. The earliest problem was the appearance of the error code 09, form time to time, without provocation that I could determine. Then the basket started to make a loud clanking noise as it spun--every time I ran the washer! Now the machine does not spin the clothes dry! They are sopping wet when the cycle is finished. What am I to do with the pile of soggy clothes that comes out? (Hours in the dryer.) Besides, the cycle takes forever because it gets stuck at a certain point on the timer, and just keeps going around and around while the remaining time left on the timer stays the same. The repair man who came today thought my washer might work if he changed some computer mechanism, as well as replaced the basket mechanism. But parts and labor for that are very expensive. He said it would cost as much as a new machine. As the Whirlpool-authorized repair man left, he recommended that I NOT get the same washer, as he sees problems with this model all the time!! That says it all!. Now, Whirlpool, you need to make a machine that is the SAME SIZE as I'm sure I'm not the only one who built my laundry space around the exact specs of that machine. But one that WORKS!

Make it right
12/8/2018
Bought this washing machine, as well as the dryer, less than three and a half years ago. The washing machine Never worked properly (lots of error codes) A09 specifically, but now it leaves my clothes sopping wet after a full cycle. We've had technicians come out repeatedly to do some testing, and time and time again they report they could find nothing wrong, After reading many of the reviews here, I see people are having the same issues as I am. Specifically, the latest review 5 days ago...exact same issues. There is nothing coincidental here.
Lastly, the stackable set is quite attractive and fits my space ideally. The dryer works fine. I am soooo disappointed!
Whirpool you must step up to the plate and own this problem. Recall these washers and make it right with your customers.

Bought this washing machine, as well as the dryer, less than three years ago. The dryer has been adequate, nothing more, nothing less. The washing machine worked just okay (lots of error codes) for about a year, but now it leaves my clothes sopping wet after a full cycle. I had a tech come out and do some testing, and he could find nothing wrong, but said that all he has encountered with these machines is problems. After reading many of the reviews here, I see people are having the same issues as I am. I'm going to have to shell out at least $1,000.00 for a new machine. Unfortunately, all of my household appliances are Whirlpool, but I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again, that's a given! Really wish there was a "no star" rating.....

Bought a condo April 2016 with this washer and a matching dryer in the unit. Had some issues intermittently with wash loads not completing adequate spin cycles; would wring and throw in the dryer or run a rinse cycle and it was an acceptable workaround. Washer and dryer were fine but nothing to write home about. This weekend it stopped spinning and threw error code F06. Contacted my reliable, knowledgeable appliance servicing company, Wooten Appliance, which advised the repair would cost more than $700. Tried to call Whirlpool Warranty folks, but they close at 8 p.m. EST, and I am on the west coast; will try again tomorrow. Hoping the warranty covers, but I am not holding my breath. =(

I have eight of these washers in rental apartments, ranging in age from 4 to 7 years old. Some have worked well but several have failed as described by others. Very often the machine stops during laundry without spinning or draining, no error code. During testing, all operations work perfectly through diagnostic cycles. So the individual operating modes work, but the controls can't reliably put them together to get a load of laundry done. Repair techs can't seem to fix the problems. Honestly I feel like Whirlpool needs to send us all replacement control boards with working software.

Motor failed after less than 2 years

10/3/2018
This front loading washer, along with a coordinating dryer, came installed as a stacked unit as part of a new condo unit, and was used lightly for less than 2 years before it conked out with error code "F06". We had an official Whirlpool technician come to service it and he said the motor is fried and it would cost $900 to purchase a new motor, so he said we might as well buy a new machine. So now we're out of pocket $170 for the out-of-warranty technician visit (since it was past 1 year old) and need to spend around $1000 to buy a new washing machine. Needless to say we will be looking at other options and I have lost confidence in Whirlpool. I do not recommend this machine.

We moved to new house and bought this almost new. Worked fine at first on small loads. After couple of months started "hitting and missing" spin cycle. Haven't had it a year and it refuses to spin at all now, other than a slow, lazy turn. We cleaned drain plug, and tried the diagnostics. It would spin during the diagnostic but not during a real cycle. Beginning to think it is a piece of junk like the other owners

I bought this machine brand new.(with a 1 yr warranty) It lasted me 1 year and 10 months. That is it!!!? We are a family of three that does very little laundry. I even take towels and blankets to the laundromat to prevent extra weight and stress on the smaller machine. It broke in the first 3 months and had be taken apart and repaired (of coarse that wasn't part of the warranty) then after less then 2 years it died. I called a number of repair companies and they all told me it would need to be rebuilt and it would cost more then replacing it. So now i am handed the task of replacing a machine that cost me more then a thousand dollars less then 2 years ago, and of coarse i can not find one to match the stackabe dryer i replaced less then a year ago!! nothing but a nightmare. Will not go with Whirlpool again.

I bought this machine four years ago and have nothing but problems with this machine. The pump was replaced once while still under warranty and I had to pay to have it replaced again one year later. Constant error codes! The machine does not drain the water at the end of the cycle and the clothes are saturated with water at the end of cycle. I have to manually drain the machine by opening up the bottom of the machine. This machine is a huge headache. It leaves my clothes smelling musty and requires far too much of my effort and time. Over all rating is don't buy this machine as it is really no good. The washer that sits above works well however the clothes are too soaking wet to put in it. I had my machine repaired under warranty and my husband continues to repair it constantly! I purchased this machine to fit in a small closet space, but feel very disappointed with it since the purchase.

I bought this unit 4 years ago, and it has had low use. Now, it will not start in Normal. It will sometimes start in Quick Wash, but mostly does not drain and spin, leaving items soggy. The appliance repair diagnosed as an F13 error, and replaced the door lock. It still had the same issues. The replaced it again, same issues. Yesterday, I received a F25 when running the diagnostic when appliance repair was there for the 4th time. I think the board has failed in the maching. I am very disappointed with the reliability of this maching. Love the dryer, but the washer is not good quality. It has had such low use, it makes me sick, but I am going to have to replace it rather than pay for a new board.

This washer came with my condo. Over the years it has operated well aside from the clean washer feature (which never worked). After the 4 year or regular operation the motor has failed tossing an F06 code. The whirlpool approved repair person (sent out by whirlpool) confirmed it was the carbon strips but due to the way the motor is, he assured this cheap part ($30-50) could not be replaced and would need a new motor for $850. Stay away from this one unless you only need it for a few years

These were already installed in the home we purchased a year ago, but seemed almost new at the time. Over the past year, we've had multiple issues with the door not properly locking, therefore the load would not start. Then the spin cycle would cease to work. The timer would go to 13 min and just quit. The washer would work properly 1 out of every 5 loads, no error codes ever shown. We kept thinking it was having trouble sensing the load distribution or too much suds, so we drastically cut down on detergent, and tried every which way to fill a load (overfill, underfill, just small things, just larges, etc) and nothing ever changed the frequency of malfunction. We recently got the dreaded A-10 code and after a manual drain and cleaning the drain we were able to restart the load, only to get the A-10 error again and have to manually drain again. Also, the "clean" cycle has never worked at all. It just sits there and won't start. I like the looks of this unit, but that's the only good thing I can say. Stay away from this unit!!! I have huge doubts about whirlpool in general at this point.

We have this washer in an RV with a stackable dryer. Somehow the knob broke off during transit by it bumping against a closed door. The knob broke off and the repairman($89 for the visit) told us that the knob was part of the control panel and we needed a new panel. The knob is on a plastic part that snapped off inside the washer. $590 for the repair and the part before removal of the units as the top has to come off to get to the panel. A good washer when it works. The design of the aspect of the front panel is a definite design flaw. If the part is so important to the control panel, why is it a cheap plastic? This problem has put us in a severe bind.

I'm having the same problem that a lot of people are reporting. The machine more often than not does not spin clothes dry. This is a common problem and there is no straight-forward fix for it. You can scour the internet all you want, but I doubt you will be able to find a story where somebody fixed a machine that had the problem of periodically not getting the spin cycle to run properly. The diagnostic test works fine and shows no errors, but the machine still does not work properly. Troubleshooting by replacing parts is not an easy option either, as the cost of replacement parts is atrociously high. If you're going to spend any money trying to fix the machine, just buy a new one. If you're not so unfortunate and don't already own one of these, spend your money on something else. Oh, and then there's its susceptibility to growing mold. Fortunately that can be fixed with enough bleach...

I bought this washer (and matching dryer) about 3 years ago, and we've had nothing but trouble. We don't even use the washer that much because it's in our vacation home (used lightly by two people, and never rented out). We've already spent over $500 on out of warranty repairs, and now we get an error code A10, which basically means we have to call another repair person. We're now replacing our barely used, 3 year old washer and dryer - with another brand.

Won't spin at end of cycle. There are no error codes. I see this is a common problem with this unit. I wish Whirlpool would contact me to help get this resolved.

I've had this unit for 3 years and it has been nothing but a headache. The dryer had issues last year and it cost me 400$. Now the washer won't spin at the end of the cycle. My tenants are fed up and so am I. After numerous visits and pulling out the unit to fix it (oddly enough it passes all the self diagnostics) I'm dumping it and buying a new set (NOT A WHIRLPOOL).
