So many things wrong with this stove

I've been using this range for a year and a half and I'm so disappointed. I picked it for the Whirlpool name and in fact went with all Whirlpool appliances in my new home. The refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave, front loading washer and dryer are excellent, The stove has several issues. I've had repairmen out twice and both times was told to just live with these problems. When the oven tells me it's preheated it is NOT ready to bake. I have learned to wait at least 20 minutes more for it to get to the right temperature. The aqua clean only cleans the bottom of the oven where you put the water. The sides and door look as though nothing happened in the cleaning process and since you can't use an oven cleaner they continue to look like they need cleaning. The two power burners in front are too hot to simmer. If I want to simmer a soup or spaghetti sauce in a big pot I have no burner to accommodate the pot size. The knobs on the stove are not chrome or stainless steel like the stove because they are crinkling and look terrible. The one thing I do like are the hinges grates on the stovetop. They make it easy the clean, but the porcelain surface has pitted. I wish I could give a better review but I'm just not able to do it.

My husband replaced all of our kitchen with 4 brand new appliances. I was thrilled. I love the convection range cooks great but two features are questionable.
1st point of contention. I'm almost 70. My husband bought me this stove because I have back pain. The self cleaning aqua feature would surely clean the oven. Heck, you would think new technology, would be better or as good the older. At my age it should have been made clear that this is not a true self cleaning oven as is known to many of us. At my age, I cannot get on my knees and clean the oven. The aqua feature is worthless to me. I would have preferred this stove with regular self cleaning .
2 nd point. The grates on top of the range are thinning and sinking in. I'm horrified this is happening to a range that was only installed 4 months ago in November. Truly disappointed in this product!
As it stands I could not recommend this product unless the cast iron grating is better quality and the cleaning feature also offers true self cleaning feature.

Stove was installed on 01/01/2019, the markings on the knobs have wiped off. I only use a soft cloth and plain water to clean and now I have no indication of flame size, ok for me but it makes it difficult to instruct an inexperienced cook over the phone.
The center burner is mediocre at best, doesnt spread the heat out enough.

I've had this range for 2 months and love it. The hinged grates and large window to the oven were the big selling points for this oven and they haven't disappointed. It is so easy to clean the spills by just flipping up the grates. I haven't put them in the dishwasher yet but that was a selling point also. I didn't realize how bad my old stove was until we got this one. We are very satisfied with how well the oven bakes and how fast we can boil or just simmer with the different burners. I would definitely recommend this range to all my friends and family!

Oven and stove top are awesome. Quick even heating. Baking banana bread was great. One thing we noticed was the lowest heat setting on the range was still a little warm for certain foods on the big front burners. May have to use the smaller burners in the back.

I've had this range for about three months and generally like it especially when I consider the great price. It's beautiful to look at, looks like something you'd pay a lot more for and has some good features. I really like the hinged grates, they make cleaning easier. I don't love that there are two large burners in front and only one medium and one small in back, I'd prefer two medium burners on the same side. The center oval burner is small so the griddle I have only heats in the middle and because there are different sized burners on both sides cannot use the griddle over two burners. I haven't tried the water oven clean thing yet but it sounds messy. The oven does heat to a very high temperature, could probably just set it to 500 and sled clean even though there is no specific setting for regular oven cleaning.

I was able to cook my entire Thanksgiving dinner in the range without having to swap things out The EZ Lift grates are fantastic and make it a snap to clean.
My one complaint is that when I go to clean the grease off the knobs, it takes the printed markings right off so it's hard to know what setting is what.

Bought less than 1 year ago and there are so many design flaws that you can only discover after using it. So now that I've used it - I wish I could trade it in for a different model. First off - there is no such thing as AQUA LIFT. Let's call it what it is - a gentle steam bath that still requires you on your knees with head in oven scrubbing away. I have never used the center burner - can't find a griddle that fits properly - what a waste. The front burners wont turn down enough so must move pan to the back. Many of my pans sit on the back burner off-centered because there isn't enough room in the back due to the back panel. The enamel is chipping off where the racks sit - ALREADY! The accu-simmer burner goes out when i lower the flame. I was so excited about this oven. Thought i had done the research, comparison shopping, etc.. i am so disappointed.

I purchase the stove in July specifically for the 5th burner and it's appearance. I have had no issue with it, however I didn't realize unit it was delivered and installed the it did not include the grill for the 5th burner. Paying close to $1,000.00 for the stove, I don't see why it wasn't. Upon further research, I find that a grill is available but you must spend an additional $61.00 to purchase, which I have yet to purchase. This is the reason I can't justify a 5 star review.

We purchased this stove and had it installed a little over a week ago. The Stainless Steel and black looks very striking. The stove itself works flawlessly. We haven't had a chance to use all the oven features yet, however we have used the basic "bake" operation and tried the "cook from frozen" feature and it worked very well. The oven operating instructions and settings are very intuitive and we have had no trouble following them.

This product is advertised as self-cleaning. IT IS NOT! After 3 attempts using the Aqua-Lift steam clean "feature" the oven was still not close to being clean. Keep in mind the oven was not filthy with spills or burnt on food, just splatters from oils used in roasting meat and fish. Using their cleaning kit did not even take any of the splatters off even after the 3 attempts. In addition the oven's enamel is chipping off where the racks are resting. Their remedy was to touch it up with enamel paint. Not a safe solution since it continues to chip when you attempt to wipe out the oven after "cleaning". We got this range through the builder who said it was self-clean. Even Whirlpool thinks this is self-clean. Attempts to get them to replace this range with one that has the same features but with the high heat clean resulted in being told it is self-cleaning and functions like it is supposed to. It is only self-clean in that I am the self, trying to clean it on my hands and knees with my head in the oven. I waited 49 minutes on the phone to be told that information. I will not buy or recommend a Whirlpool product again. They have permanently lost my business.

This is NOT a "self cleaning" oven. Self cleaning ovens do NOT require "a little elbow grease".... that would be a good description of MANUALLY CLEAN.
The burner grates are NOT SAFE. The 4 point centers are widely spaced and do not provide enough support to an 8" skillet, let alone a 1 or 2 qt sauce pan. I feel uncomfortable with the burner grate wobble of my largest stockpot and no longer feel safe in my kitchen or having pets and children in my kitchen while I am using the stove because of the lack of pot support.
Also, the front burners are both high BTU burners but they cannot be attenuated to lower heat. So, any dish requiring medium to low heat needs to be cooked on the back burners
I am not confident of the oven's ability to hold a specific temperature. It seems to run cold.
The drawer is flimsy. Based on other reviews, I expect the burner knobs to be free of markings within a month
This stove is a total disappointment.

Much better stove than our previous GE top of the line model. We really like how easy it is to clean around the burners and the heating elements are fantastic. EZ lift grates not only help with the cleaning but if you wish to move pots from 1 burner to the next, no problem. However, the internal light socket became temperamental almost from the start and needed to have it repaired. I thought when we purchased it that it came with a temperature probe and was quite disappointed that after having it for a couple of months noticed it did not and we feel a stove of this quality should.

Now that we have had this range for going on two months, I have enough experience to give a true review of this range. The stove top is excellent and the hinged cast iron grates are a great feature. My wife and I are vegetarians, so we don't know about roasting or broiling meats, but baking and making pizzas have been fine. The digital controls on the oven are not intuitive and you will need to read the manual to use the oven the first couple of times. The big problem we have had is the inability to adequately clean the oven bottom using the AquaLift system: it just doesn't do the job. We previously had an electric self-cleaning oven and all we had to do was set it on "clean", wait three hours, let it cool, wipe away the ash, and voila! Even running the AquaLift process several times did not "lift" the vegetable oil burnt on the bottom. We are now using a teflon liner on the lowest rack to keep the spills from getting on the bottom. We just can't figure out how and why this cleaning function was brought out. It is clearly inferior to what has been standard for decades. Too bad. A heads up on the drawer under the oven: it is quite shallow and holds only relatively short items and does not allow for hardly any stacking of things. Having said all of this, we are keeping the oven, as the actual cooking and baking functions have worked well for us.

This all gas range has a very good cook top and is easy to clean with the liftable grates. I do wish Whirlpool made a dual fuel range because electric ovens are much more accurate with the oven temps. than the gas types. This is a replacement for another same model range. The first range was off more than 50 degrees and nothing baked well. There was also a gas smell when preheating the oven. Guess there was a gas leak. The only reason I purchased this range was I wanted a gas cook top and it matched the other appliances in the newer home we purchased and unfortunately Whirlpool doesn't make that.

Range is very nice looking and well made. The swing up grates make cleaning easy and you can remove also if you wish. The burners ignite faster than any range that I have owned. I especially like the rapid preheat for the oven, no waiting forever to start baking even though the oven is large. I'm very happy with how it bakes evenly. Definitely glad we purchased another Whirlpool product.

A Great Modern Gas Range Finally!

I bought this range in early March for all the great features for home cooking. The range has two grates which makes the range top easy to clean. However, the burners come in with four different sizes and require matching cooking pots to avoid spilling. And the gap between burners and cooking pots is slightly wide, making cooking time longer. After four weeks, my wife and I finally adjusted to it and really appreciate what this modern gas range has to offer.

I bought entire kitchen whirlpool. Oven is on 9th service call for same issue. On 4th refrigerator delivery due to manufactured defects and damage. So far dishwasher is ok. Stove frig and dishwasher look great besides issues. Glad i bought 5yr warranties. Whirlpool customer service was rude. Repair guy can't believe he's on his 2nd round of parts replacements. I guess i have over 260 more weeks of service requests for a non working oven.

I've had this range for about 6 weeks and so far, I love it. I don't really see what all the excitement is re: the convection, but that might be because it's new to me and I haven't used it much. The oven is really huge, true to temp, heats up quickly, and cooks evenly without using the convection (which, when it's on, is so quiet I can't even tell unless I check the setting). The enormous glass window is helpful.
I bought this range primarily because of the hinged grates; I'm a nut about keeping my much-used stove clean and I was tired of lifting and moving heavy iron grates everyday. I thought about the slide-in for a more "custom" look, but I liked the "butterfly" sideways grate opening on this model so much better than the front to back and it actually fits in very nicely with my oversized OTR micro AND the back guard will protect my unsealed travertine. I haven't tried the Aqualift yet, so fingers crossed on that. I do wonder about the grates themselves which seem to dip down a bit or perhaps be a little thinner directly over the burners. I'm not sure...my pots don't wobble so maybe it's an illusion? And the grates don't appear to be enamel coated like my old ones were, so I'm a bit concerned about putting them in the dishwasher, but they wipe clean pretty easily so I haven't had to do that yet.
One last thing that is a little unsettling is that they middle burner wobbles. I had to have it converted for propane, which seems to basically involve switching different little brass nozzle-type fittings on the burners and since that was done, the oval burner doesn't sit quite all the way down on the fitting, so it rocks. Weird, but it doesn't seem to affect the flame.
Overall, I'm really happy with it, it's very good looking and easier to clean than my old range.

I bought this stove recently I found out when purchasing a new stove almost all of the stoves come with grates that cover the entire top of the cooking surface which I done not like (but any stove that did not have full grates was bargain basement). Since I wanted a better stove I was stuck picking out one that had full grates over the entire surface of the cooking area. Then once the stove arrived and I was taking all the plastic and tape off it (which was way more than needed)I found out the grates are hinged to the stove and unable to be removed easily. Cleaning the top of the stove is a trip because you have to clean around the grates because they open in the middle and stick up on both sides. I also find there is no way to clean the grates when they are attached to the stove. Next I hate the middle burn (but once again almost all the better stoves have this useless burner) so I was suck with the center burner. Then I told the salesman I wanted self cleaning oven and was not told I would have to pour water in the bottom of the oven then clean it out when the cleaning cycle was done. This is not self cleaning I want have to nothingdo to clean the oven at all but turn it on wait for it to be clean.

I love cooking on a natural gas stove but was envious of the ease of cleaning a glass top. Not to worry! The grates have hinges on the sides and lift out of the way to reveal an easy to clean area beneath. I can now cook three sheets of cookies at the same time, get those cooling racks ready as they are all done at the same time. Easy to see controls, I'm not sure why we even need a regular bake setting any more but it's there if you want.
